So to share 3 things I'm jittery about for the beginning of school...
1. I'm nervous about starting Common Core! I am super excited too. I am worried about changes to my curriculum just as I'm finally getting used to it! My big project this summer was to wrap my mind around the standards and thanks to all of you, I've really been working on it. TpT and blogs really have a lot of great information.
2. In my state, we have leveled licensure levels. In your third year you have to complete a dossier. It's a very big deal and will take a lot of time. To show you how big it is, the college in my city uses the dossier in place of a thesis for the master's program. I know I can do it! I just need to schedule my time well!
3. I'm jittery as always about the first day. I always get sick to my stomach the first day of school! From Kindergarten to now teaching, I get so nervous! Luckily, I settle down after the first few minutes now that I'm teaching!
Any advice for me? I love comments! What are you jittery about? Join the blog hop! P.S My giveaway is still going on! Join here! |

Second Grade is Sweet!
Us common core newbies will need to band together to find resources!
DeleteThanks for checking out my jitters blog hop! :)
ReplyDeleteOur Kindergarten class started common core last year. We won't start until they reach us in 4th grade. Best of luck!

Good luck with that dossier! It sound like a big job, but it might actually be a great reflection tool!

It will be a great reflection. Thank you for pointing out the positive! I sometimes forget that part! :)
DeleteMrs. T,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through the blog Hop! My district hasn't adopted the common core, but it's coming soon enough. We did adopt a new reading program and that's stressful enough. I'm a newbie blogger and would love for you to stop by my blog and check it out.
